Nicolai "device" Reedtz is close to signing with 100 Thieves as their new sniper, according to multiple sources who spoke with HLTV and Dust2.dk. Talks are reportedly in the final stages.
If the move is completed, device will reunite with longtime Astralis teammate Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander. gla1ve is expected to become the coach of the North American organization, marking the pair’s first reunion since their championship-winning era.
device’s return to 100 Thieves would end his second spell with Astralis, which began in October 2022 following his time with Ninjas in Pyjamas. Over the past two years, he helped the Danish squad reach the grand finals of PGL Astana and FISSURE Playground 1, and also played a major part in earning the team its first Major appearance in three years. Despite that progress, Astralis were knocked out in Stage 2 in Budapest.
If device signs, the 100 Thieves roster would include both Håvard "rain" Nygaard and device. The team would then need to secure a three-man core to begin the 2026 season with a VRS ranking.
