GoNext has emerged as the ALGS Year 4 Champions, making history as the first-ever ALGS LAN winners from EMEA. Their victory caps off a remarkable year of Apex Legends competition, with the team claiming an impressive $600,000 in prize money.
GoNext's triumph came in a stacked field, with powerhouse teams like Alliance, Team Falcons, and Shopify Rebellion all in hot pursuit. Each of these teams reached the Match Point threshold but, as often happens, fell short of securing that all-important final win.
GoNext wasn’t initially considered a favorite for the ALGS Championship, and for much of the finals, they remained under the radar. But when it mattered most, they pulled off the crucial victory. After hitting the Match Point threshold, they needed just one more win, which they secured in an intense endzone fight in Overlook.

A key factor in GoNext's success was their strategic use of Catalyst. Her Dark Veil provided critical cover, allowing them to force other teams—like VP and Luminosity—to clash first. Coupled with a slight high ground advantage, GoNext seized the opportunity and claimed the victory.
For Luminosity and Sweetdreams, it was an agonizingly close finish. After being counted out by many in the ALGS community, they came incredibly close to making it to LAN, only to fall short in the final circle. While it's a strong result, the near-miss is sure to sting for them.
