TL;DR
The clock is ticking on one of the more complicated LCK roster situations of the Spring split. Diable has 24 hours, roughly, before the trade window closes and any move becomes significantly more complicated for everyone involved.
The 18-year-old was demoted from BNK FearX's main roster to BNK FearX Youth on April 28 following a missed fan meeting and a pattern of internal issues the organisation described as repeated rule violations and failures to meet basic responsibilities. Negotiations between Diable and the team have reportedly not produced a resolution, which is where the trade reports come from.
LCK roster regulations create a hard stop at the beginning of Round 2. Once that starts, trades are locked until the Road to MSI concludes. That makes the window between now and May 1 the only path to getting Diable onto a new roster in time for him to play in Round 2.
A standard registration bypasses the trade mechanism but triggers a different problem. Standard registrations at this stage reportedly require the player to sit out Round 2 entirely and wait until Round 3 for eligibility. For a team pursuing Diable because they want to improve now, that's not useful. Hence the trade structure, which would reportedly involve a second-team player going the other direction rather than cash or a conventional transfer fee.
The swap deal structure is an elegant workaround for both the regulatory timing and the financial aspect of acquiring a player mid-season.
Diable has been one of the standout rookie performances of the 2026 LCK season. His demotion is a result of conduct issues rather than anything visible in his gameplay, which is what makes the situation both frustrating and compelling from a roster acquisition standpoint.
A mid-to-lower-tier LCK team acquiring a top-end rookie talent at a relative discount, because the player's current team is motivated to move him out, is exactly the kind of transfer that can significantly shift a team's competitive ceiling mid-season. Whether Diable's conduct issues follow him to a new environment or were specific to his situation at BNK FearX is the risk any acquiring team is accepting.
