BNK FEARX announced Yoo Hee-ji as their new General Manager, and this appointment stands out because she's the first woman to take on that role since the League of Legends Champions Korea switched to its franchising system.
The news came straight from the team following a key board meeting held on January 22, 2026. That same gathering greenlit a full leadership refresh and some important structural tweaks. One of the biggest moves was officially changing the company's name from SBXG Co., Ltd. to FearX Co., Ltd. It's all about getting everything lined up under one clear brand.
The organization explained that this shift helps keep things consistent whether fans are watching competitive matches or checking out commercial stuff. Moving forward, every part of the operation will roll with the unified FEARX branding.
Yoo Hee-ji steps into the GM spot of BNK FEARX with serious credentials in the Korean esports scene. She's spent years handling team operations and competitive sides, so her experience runs deep. What really turns heads here is the milestone for the LCK. Leadership positions at franchised teams have almost always gone to men until now, so Yoo's promotion feels like a meaningful step forward for diversity in the league.
At the same time, Kim Hae-chan got bumped up to Chief Executive Officer. He had been serving as General Manager through 2025 and gets a lot of credit from the team for steering them through a really solid growth phase on the competitive front.
Speaking of performance, these changes come right after a strong stretch for the squad. They took home the League of Legends Asia Invitational title in 2025, and that momentum has carried over nicely into the current LCK Cup 2026 season.
The rebranding wave doesn't stop at the corporate level. The team has been busy updating its offline presence too. That popular clubhouse café in Jonggak, which used to go by Mouse Potato Café, now operates as FEARX Café. They've refreshed the whole spot with the latest FEARX and NEXX branding elements to match the new direction.
