The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) in Riyadh has entered a multi-year partnership with Activision’s Call of Duty League, aiming to support the long-term growth of esports. The deal was announced as part of Saudi Arabia’s broader commitment to expanding its gaming and esports industry, though specific details of the partnership remain unclear. Financial terms were not disclosed.

This announcement follows the confirmation that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Warzone will be featured in the Esports World Cup 2025 lineup. Black Ops 6 will replace Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, which saw Atlanta FaZe claim the title in 2024. The Modern Warfare III tournament had a $1.8 million prize pool, while Warzone featured a $1 million prize pool, with Team Falcons emerging victorious.

In 2024, Call of Duty was the final franchise to be added to the Esports World Cup, increasing the number of featured events to 22. Other confirmed titles for the 2025 edition include Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and Honor of Kings.
