Beta weekends

Weekend one, 21 to 25 August. Early Access, restricted to pre-order holders on PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC via Steam, Battle.net or Xbox on PC. Discord Nitro subscribers and anyone holding a code are also in. Access opens through Call of Duty HQ once the broadcast wraps.

Weekend two, 28 August to 1 September. Open to everyone, no pre-order or code needed, across all platforms.

Last-gen consoles aren't supported at all.

What Infinity Ward is showing

Live multiplayer gameplay across new maps, modes and weapons. Developer commentary on design and balance decisions. A content roadmap covering launch and the seasons after it. Reveals for operators, killstreaks and customisation.

Switch 2 owners get their first look at how the game actually performs on the hardware, which for a lot of people is the only question that matters.

Launch details

Modern Warfare 4 releases 23 October on PS5, Xbox Series XS, Switch 2 and PC. Standard edition is 69.99 USD, Vault Edition 99.99 USD. Digital pre-orders unlock the campaign a week early on 16 October.

The Vault Edition bundles the Hostile Alliance and Special Forces operator packs, the Signature Weapon Collection, a season of BlackCell and a DMZ deployment bonus.
