Activision has officially removed Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile from the iOS App Store and Google Play Store, following an announcement last week that the title would no longer receive updates or new content.

The publisher explained that the decision stemmed from "the scope of the game being streamlined" and it "not meeting expectations." As of May 18, the game is no longer available for new downloads, although those who already have it installed can continue to play.

"The decision was made after careful consideration," Activision stated on its support page. "We're proud of the accomplishment in bringing Call of Duty: Warzone to mobile in an authentic way, [but] it unfortunately has not met our expectations with mobile-first players like it has with PC and console audiences."

While servers remain operational, the mobile title will not see any further content updates, and all in-game transactions involving real-world currency have been disabled. Players can still use any remaining CoD Points on content that is currently available in the mobile store but will no longer be able to make new purchases.

Despite the removal, players will retain access to features such as cross-progression and shared inventories with other Call of Duty platforms. Activision has not provided a definitive shutdown date for the servers, indicating they will remain online "until further notice."
