City State Entertainment is rebranded as Unchained Entertainment. The studio has announced a rebranding effort to align with its new game engine, also named Unchained. The company stated their goal is to utilize this technology to drive the development of the next generation of massive multiplayer online games. Their inaugural title, Final Stand: Ragnarok, a co-op PVE game, initially launched via Early Access on Steam in 2021, with plans for a full release later this year. Unchained's CEO, Jacobs, highlighted that their engine enables massive battles akin to those seen in blockbuster films like Lord of the Rings, bringing thousands of real players together for an immersive real-time experience. Furthermore, Unchained announced securing new funding from A16z Games to support its endeavors.
