Firewalk Studios' hero shooter, Concord, which launched on PlayStation 5 and Windows PC on August 23, will be removed from sale on Tuesday and will go offline later this week, according to an announcement on Sony's PlayStation blog. Players who purchased the game will receive refunds as Firewalk Studios evaluates future options for Concord.
The game director at Firewalk Studios acknowledged that the game's launch did not meet expectations and that aspects of both the game and its release were not well-received. The decision to take Concord offline on September 6, 2024, comes after a disappointing launch and ongoing player feedback. The studio is exploring ways to better serve its community and improve the game.

Refunds will be processed for purchases made on PlayStation 5, whether through the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Direct, as well as for PC purchases. Concord's launch was met with a lackluster response, with low concurrent player numbers reported on Steam. The game's player base dwindled from fewer than 700 during the launch weekend to about 30 players by Tuesday, with approximately 25,000 copies sold since release.
