The Walt Disney Company has invested in $1.5b to secure an equity stake in Epic Games, unveiling collaborative plans with Fortnite. Described as an "open, persistent, social universe" by both Disney and Epic, the project will not only provide an immersive gaming experience but also offer fans the opportunity to interact with content, characters, and narratives spanning Disney's vast portfolio, encompassing beloved brands such as Pixar, Star Wars, Marvel, and Avatar.
