ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) has announced the development of a new competitive gaming experience for Fortnite, named "ESL Featuring Fortnite" (UEFN). Collaborating with UEFN development studio 404 Creative, EFG aims to craft a competitive Fortnite universe incorporating custom islands, new game modes, and a team-based format. Notably, this initiative is independent of any endorsement from Fortnite's owner, Epic Games, as the official competitive scenes for both Fortnite and Rocket League are currently managed by BLAST, a rival tournament organizer.
Several professional esports teams, including Karmine Corp., Team Heretics, ZETA Division, Dignitas, and an undisclosed "mystery organization," have already committed to participating in ESL Featuring Fortnite.
