The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has announced a strategic partnership with Tencent, naming Tencent E-sports as its official partner in China. This collaboration is set to enhance the Esports World Cup's presence in the region and is a key step toward uniting global esports fans under one competitive umbrella. It also reflects EWCF's commitment to integrating China—one of the world’s most important and fastest-growing esports markets—into the Esports World Cup platform. The agreement was finalized at the Empower Esports Worldwide Series – The Esports Operation and Technology Session in Shenzhen, China.
As part of the partnership, a dedicated Development Team will be formed to improve EWC’s visibility, engagement, and collaboration within China’s esports industry. The collaboration will leverage both EWC's and Tencent E-sports' networks and expertise to connect Chinese esports with the broader global ecosystem. Tencent will offer marketing expertise, strategic consulting, and operational support to deliver diverse content and experiences.
