Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look premieres on Netflix at 3pm ET on Thursday 27 August, following that it will arrive on the official Rockstar YouTube channel and the GTA VI website at 9pm ET the same day.

This is a first of its kind integration, therefore we are all excited even though it puts a paywall between consumers. So the times,

Netflix isn't required

If you have a subscription that gets you the six-hour head start. That's all it gets you. The YouTube and website release is free, identical.

What's in it

Rockstar did not reveal this. Not the runtime, not the contents.

The Extended Look branding points toward something longer than a conventional trailer, and expectations centre on the first real gameplay, since neither previous trailer showed any. Strauss Zelnick called it "one of the hors d'oeuvres" with appetisers, mains and dessert still to come, so this isn't the whole campaign.

Netflix VP of nonfiction series Brandon Riegg framed it as a first-of-its-kind partnership, saying "Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right."

GTA 6 launches 19 November on PS5 and Xbox Series X S, at 79.99 USD standard and 99.99 USD for the Ultimate Edition. Rockstar describes the launch build as single-player.
