The Women in Motorsport Esports Cup is open to female drivers from all geographic locations, and the FIA is ensuring that anyone—regardless of their motorsport experience—has the opportunity to compete. The competition will select one representative from each of the following six regions: North & Central America, South America, Europe, Middle East & North Africa, Africa, and Asia Pacific. The final four spots in the competition will be awarded to additional top qualifiers, although only one driver per nation will be allowed to advance.
The event is designed to highlight the growing importance of virtual racing as a gateway into the motorsport world. Through this initiative, the FIA hopes to inspire more women to pursue careers in motorsports, providing a platform for those who may have limited access to traditional racing avenues.
For those who make it to the final in Macau, the stakes are high. Finalists will not only compete for the top spot but will also gain invaluable exposure to the wider motorsport industry. According to the FIA, the finalists will participate in media training workshops and have access to exclusive networking opportunities.
“Finalists will also gain insight into the broader motorsport industry through media training workshops and exclusive networking opportunities,” said the FIA in their official release.
