The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has appealed to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, despite the completion of the $68.7 billion deal in October. According to Reuters, representatives from both the FTC and Microsoft presented their cases before a three-judge panel at the Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals yesterday.

The FTC stated that District Judge Jacqueline Scott Corley, who previously rejected the FTC. Imad Abyad, an attorney representing the FTC, asserted that the FTC only needed to demonstrate the potential for Microsoft to withhold games from other platforms, rather than proving that the deal was inherently anticompetitive.
