Ferrari has officially unveiled the 2025 edition of its flagship sim racing competition, the Ferrari HP Esports Series, promising a more competitive and globally inclusive format for aspiring virtual racers.
The series kicks off today with six weeks of time trial challenges, where participants from around the world will compete to secure their spot in the regional finals. Each week will focus on one of three leading sim racing platforms—Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, and iRacing—featuring a different virtual circuit to test drivers’ skills.
Week one begins with time trials at the iconic Silverstone Circuit in the UK, using the Assetto Corsa platform. The fastest 10 drivers each week will automatically advance to the regional finals, while those placing from 11th to 30th will enter a secondary qualifier round for another shot at progression.

While Ferrari has not yet confirmed the dates for the regional finals or the grand final, the competition structure reflects a stepped-up approach in 2025. The brand says this year’s series is designed to “raise the bar” with enhanced global reach and heightened competition levels.
The 2024 edition of the series drew over 17,000 competitors, culminating in a live LAN final at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi. The event saw Luke Whitehouse of the UK emerge victorious, earning a place on Ferrari’s official esports roster.
