Fnatic to Release Rainbow Six Roster
Fnatic has confirmed it will release its entire Rainbow Six Siege X roster following an internal assessment of its Year 10 campaign, marking another reset for the long-standing esports organisation.
In a statement, the London-based team said it would “take some time” before committing to a new lineup as it considers its “next steps in the title”.
Several of the released players have already announced that they are exploring new opportunities and are open to joining other teams. Head coach Tristan ‘Saethus’ Savage also addressed the situation, explaining that his main focus is ensuring the players “have a secure future” within the Rainbow Six Siege X competitive scene.
The move represents a notable shift for Fnatic, which has been involved in Rainbow Six esports since 2018. This is not the first time the organisation has stepped away from a roster, having previously disbanded its lineup in 2023 before returning with a new squad in March 2024.
Despite holding partnered status through the R6 Share programme, Fnatic struggled to make an impact during Year 10. The team endured a difficult run in the Europe MENA League, becoming the first side eliminated in Stage 1 and finishing among the bottom four teams in Stage 2. Those results meant Fnatic missed out on qualification for both the Esports World Cup Rainbow Six Siege X event and the BLAST R6 Major in Munich.
As a partnered organisation, Fnatic did receive an invitation to the RE:L0:AD tournament in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. The event was significant for the wider scene, as it marked one of the earliest competitive appearances of the Siege X update.
