FragPunk is set to make its competitive debut with the announcement of the FragPunk Global Invitational, a brand-new esports tournament offering up to $200,000 in cash prizes. The event marks a major milestone for the game, coming just as it prepares to launch on consoles for the first time.
The FragPunk Global Invitational will officially kick off on April 28 with regional qualifiers, culminating in grand finals in Hangzhou, China from June 5-7, where teams will compete for a top prize of $150,000 and the coveted World Clash Championship Trophy, a one-of-a-kind prize made specifically for this event.
This announcement follows closely on the heels of the game's upcoming console release. FragPunk is scheduled to launch on PlayStation and Xbox on April 29, expanding its player base and opening the door to broader competitive participation.

The tournament will feature teams from seven regions: Brazil, Germany, Mainland China, Russia, North America, France, and Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan (HMT). Qualifying rounds will begin with captain-led competitions to identify top players in each region. Once final rosters are assembled, teams will battle through regional finals from May 3-11, with up to $10,000 in prize money awarded during this stage.
Five team captains have already been named, including big-name players like Tyson ‘TenZ’ Ngo and Dmitrii ‘Recrent’ Osintsev, who will help shape the competitive field leading into the grand finals.
With its expanding platform support and entry into the world of esports, FragPunk is positioning itself as a rising star in the competitive gaming scene. The Global Invitational not only introduces high-stakes competition but also sets the tone for future events tied to the game’s growing popularity.
