Rockstar Games is currently developing a sequel set in Vice City, , for release on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, initially aimed for some time in 2025. However, according to recent reports, there's a growing possibility that the release might be delayed. Initially targeted for early 2025, it's increasingly likely that the sequel could be pushed back to late 2025 or even into 2026 due to production delays.

Recent leaks have indicated that Rockstar Games is enforcing a return-to-office policy, requiring employees to work in-office five days a week starting in April. This sudden shift has caused frustration among staff, especially those who were hired remotely, feeling they're being pushed out. While Rockstar cites security and quality reasons for this move, sources suggest that development on GTA 6 is falling behind schedule, causing concerns among the leadership about missing the 2025 release window.
