The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced the appointment of Zeynep Gencaga Dechelotte as the new head of the IOC Esports Unit. With over 15 years of experience spanning the football, gaming, and esports industries, Gencaga Dechelotte brings a wealth of expertise to the role.
Before joining the IOC, she held key roles in both traditional sports and esports. She worked as a consultant on stadium turnaround projects for clubs, including Galatasaray, and spent several years in esports across areas such as media, education, partner management, and product strategy. Her previous experience includes working with major esports publishers like Riot Games and Ubisoft, and she was involved in the Olympic Esports Week as a publisher partner. Additionally, Gencaga Dechelotte was appointed as a member of the first IOC Esports Commission.

“I am delighted to welcome Zeynep Gencaga Dechelotte to lead the IOC Esports Unit.
