Johnny Speeds has officially announced its launch as an organization, backed by a group of investors. The Swedish team has signed William "draken" Sundin, Kalle "Ro1f" Johansson, Casper "SHiNE" Wennerberg, and Anton "Sapec" Palmgren to their roster. However, there was no update regarding the status of 15-year-old Liam "MaiL09" Tügel, who was part of Johnny Speeds during their recent victory at the Subway Superior League Winter.
Formed in early 2024, Johnny Speeds quickly made a name for themselves by dominating regional and lower-tier European competitions, winning two editions of Shuffle Masters and the European Pro League. The team reached their peak at 40th place in the HLTV rankings, all without any organizational backing.

In a recent tweet, draken emphasized how the team managed to perform at a high level despite lacking the full-time support of coaching and practice hours.
"Johnny Speeds has been a project close to my heart over the past year," draken told HLTV. "Most people know what we managed to achieve last year without any external support. Along the way, there were several offers for all the players, but in the end, we always wanted to carve our own legacy in esports."
