Bandai Namco has sold its subsidiary, Limbic Entertainment, to a private investor specializing in video games. This move is part of the company's strategy to refocus its portfolio and concentrate on areas where it can deliver the strongest content.

The studio, known for its work in the building and management simulation genre, will maintain its focus on creating games in this niche, including popular titles like The Settlers and Cities: Skylines.
Arnaud Muller, CEO of Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, expressed pride in Limbic’s achievements, wishing them continued success in their new, independent direction. "We’re proud of what the teams have achieved over the years and wish our friends at Limbic all the best with their projects," Muller stated.
This sale follows a series of changes at Bandai Namco, including the sale of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore to Nintendo and the recent departure of Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada after three decades with the company.
