Manchester City Esports has confirmed that it is forming its first professional Rocket League roster. This makes the club the only current Premier League team taking part in the popular car-soccer esport. The squad will make its debut during the RLCS 2026 Kick Off Weekend.
The new roster features three players. Aston “Accro” Smith, William “ejby” Lorentzen, and Christian “TempoH” Mortensen will represent the club. All three have played together before. They previously competed under Lyost Esports in the Coup De France Slash 2025 season and also took part in several Monthly Cash Cups earlier this year.
The team will be led by coach Noah “n0ah” Hinder. He has worked with Moist Esports and Lyost Esports in the past. He also spent several years as a professional player himself, starting in 2018.
Manchester City Esports will step onto the RLCS stage from December 5 to December 7 in 2025. The team’s first match is set to be against NOVO Esports. The Kick Off Weekend will bring in top teams from Europe and North America as they try to qualify for the Boston Major.
Rocket League is an online multiplayer game that takes the basic ideas of football and replaces the athletes with rocket powered cars. It launched in 2015 and has built a strong worldwide audience along with a yearly esports circuit through the RLCS.
