Ninjas in Pyjamas has appointed Gareth "MisteM" Ries as their new in-game leader, following the benching of Alejandro "alex" Masanet.
alex had led the team through a challenging ten months, including a last-placed finish at the Copenhagen RMR, and was integral to the initial integration of newcomers Artem "r1nkle" Moroz, Max "maxster" Jansson, and Isak "isak" Fahlén. Despite his efforts, the revamped roster struggled to sustain its early potential, leading to his removal.
Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan, who previously coached MisteM at Young Ninjas and ATK, will join the main team as an assistant coach, working alongside Richard "Xizt" Landström, who replaces Fredrik "slap" Junbrant.

With a critical two-month period ahead, the focus now shifts to the Shanghai Major cycle, as MisteM and sprayxd aim to make their mark and secure Ninjas in Pyjamas’ qualification for their first CS2 Major.
Alejandro "alex" Masanet began his professional gaming career in 2014 with gBots eSports Club. His early career included stints with OverGaming and x6tence before he returned to gBots eSports Club later that year. In early 2015, he joined Atlantis eSports, followed by a significant period with Epsilon eSports from May 2015 to January 2016. He then briefly played for EU4IA before moving to k1ck eSports.es in February 2016.
After a year with k1ck eSports.es, alex joined KPI Gaming in September 2016. His tenure with KPI Gaming lasted until July 2017, when he transitioned to Movistar Riders. Alex’s time with Movistar Riders spanned two periods: from July 2017 to April 2018 and then from July 2018 to November 2023. Following this, he joined Ninjas in Pyjamas on November 3, 2023.
