NRG Esports has made significant changes to its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) roster, announcing the additions of Carson ‘nosraC’ O’Reilly and Zack ‘XotiC’ Elshani. The move comes as part of a broader strategy to revitalize the team following a string of underwhelming performances on the international stage.

The latest roster overhaul sees nosraC reunite with former teammate Jeorge ‘Jeorge’ Endicott, with whom he previously competed under the Nouns Esports banner from 2022 through early 2024. Their shared history is expected to provide a foundation of synergy as the team looks to climb the competitive ranks.

Meanwhile, XotiC joins the squad as its new primary AWPer. Having previously played for organizations like Splyce and Rebirth Esports during his CS:GO tenure, XotiC transitioned to CS2 with Getting Info earlier this year. NRG marks his second CS2 team, bringing with him both experience and high expectations.

These signings follow the departure of Jadan ‘HexT’ Postma and Josh ‘oSee’ Ohm, who were released after NRG Esports struggled to find consistency despite regional success. The team’s peak came in May with a championship run in Season 49 of the ESL Challenger League, but it failed to translate to international tournaments, placing only in the top 16 at IEM Dallas and slipping to a 27th-place finish at the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

The restructuring aligns with a wider trend across North American esports organizations, with teams like M80 and Wildcard also making summer roster moves in a bid to climb the Valve Regional Standings (VRS). The goal for all is clear: secure a spot in the top 32 ahead of the StarLadder Budapest Major set for November.
