Nintendo has filed a lawsuit against streamer Jesse "Every Game Guru" Keighin, accusing him of broadcasting gameplay from ten pirated titles before their official release. The lawsuit, filed last Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado, claims that Keighin obtained and streamed leaked versions of multiple games over 50 times since 2022. Among the games cited are Mario & Luigi: Brothership and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.

Nintendo alleges that despite issuing numerous takedown notices to platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and Kick, Keighin continued to stream these unreleased titles. His YouTube and Twitch channels were recently shut down due to copyright violations.

The company further claims that Keighin used modified consoles and emulators, such as Yuzu and Ryujinx, to play the leaked games, and even shared links to these emulators with his viewers. According to the filing, Keighin sent a letter to Nintendo in late October, boasting that he had “a thousand burner channels” at his disposal and would keep streaming the pirated content.

Nintendo is seeking $152,500 in damages for violations of the Copyright Act, along with further compensation for "actual damages" to be determined at trial. Additionally, Nintendo is requesting the seizure and destruction of the emulators and other devices Keighin allegedly used, including hard drives and electronic storage devices.
