Overwatch 2 PVE Not Coming Soon

Overwatch still does not have PVE content despite years of work. According to former Blizzard developers many issues with the PvE release of Overwatch 2 stemmed from Blizzard executives hindering its development pipeline. One developer mentioned that Blizzard executives and leadership repeatedly questioned whether the work being done met "Blizzard quality" standards, leading to delays in the project.

Coupled with the recent layoffs Blizzard experienced in early 2024, which resulted in a significant portion of the PvE team being let go, this has raised concerns among former developers about whether their work will ever see release.
