PGL has officially revealed the full roster of teams set to compete at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, a $1.25 million Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 tournament taking place in Romania’s capital from October 26 to November 1, 2025.
The event features 16 teams, primarily selected based on Valve's September Regional Standings (VRS). However, only two teams from the VRS top 10—Aurora Gaming and Astralis—will be in attendance, raising eyebrows across the Counter-Strike community.
Full List of Competing Teams:
Aurora Gaming
PaiN Gaming
3DMAX
Astralis
GamerLegion
Legacy
HEROIC
Team Liquid
B8
Ninjas in Pyjamas
Fnatic
BetBoom
Gentle Mates
FlyQuest
MIBR

The original tournament schedule was set to conclude on November 2nd, just one day before the start of IEM Chengdu 2025—another major international event. The tight scheduling led several top-tier teams to decline their invites to PGL Bucharest.
In response, PGL adjusted the schedule on September 9th, moving the Grand Final to November 1st, creating a two-day window between events. Still, many top-ranked teams opted out, with only Astralis, HEROIC, 3DMAX, and PaiN Gaming committing to both tournaments.
Despite these absences, the lineup still boasts several legacy organizations and promising rising teams, offering a fresh competitive landscape.
