Following the cancellation of the Sims competitor Life by You, Paradox Entertainment has announced the closure of its internal studio, Paradox Tectonic. This studio, led by former Electronic Arts executive vice president Rod Humble and established in 2019, was set to debut with Life by You as its flagship title.
Life by You, originally announced in March 2023 with plans for an early access release later that year, faced multiple delays. The game's cancellation marks a significant setback for Paradox Tectonic, which aimed to carve a niche in the competitive simulation gaming market.
