With the upcoming release of Payday 3 scheduled for September 21, Starbreeze Studios has made the decision to remove the Denuvo anti-cheat and anti-tampering system.
This decision was disclosed by the developer just three days prior to the game's launch, where they informed the community that Payday 3 would no longer feature Denuvo.
Back in July, fans on Reddit had already confirmed the inclusion of Denuvo in the game, providing evidence through Steam screenshots.
PC players have frequently raised concerns about the DRM software, citing performance issues and complications, which has led to other games such as Doom Eternal and Metro Exodus abandoning Denuvo's anti-piracy measures.
