Ubisoft has officially revealed the full Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 roadmap during the Six Invitational in Paris, outlining a packed year of content for one of the biggest tactical shooters in esports.

On one of the most prestigious stages in competitive gaming, the development team shared what players can expect over the next 12 months. From major gameplay reworks and a brand new map to the return of a fan favorite event and a surprising crossover with Metal Gear Solid, Year 11 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious years yet.

According to Companies/UbisoftUbisoft, the core theme for the year is simple: “more Siege, more often.”

Here is everything announced for Rainbow Six Siege Year 11.

Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Roadmap

Ubisoft made it clear that the focus for Year 11 is delivering more consistent updates and meaningful changes across every season. The roadmap includes four major seasonal drops, each bringing new operators, system updates, and gameplay improvements.

The presentation opened with a cinematic trailer that revealed the death of Phobos, setting the tone for a dramatic year ahead. From there, the team detailed updates to Ranked 3.0, balance adjustments aimed at entry fragging and roaming, and a new cadence for seasonal content.

Interestingly, Ubisoft began by highlighting Season 4 before circling back to earlier seasons.

Y11S4: Hostage Rework, Grand Larceny Returns and Operator Mastery

Season 4 of Year 11 will emphasize teamplay and collaboration.

A brand new social hub will be introduced to help players connect more easily. Ubisoft is also launching a new “testing grounds” playlist where experimental changes can be trialed before Year 12 begins. Player feedback will play a major role in shaping those updates.

Late in Year 11, a new strategic option called half reinforcements will be added to the test environment, offering more tactical flexibility.

Y11S4 will also feature a major rework of the Hostage game mode, a long-requested update from the community.

In addition, The Grand Larceny limited-time event will return after nearly six years. The event has become something of a cult favorite, and its comeback is likely to draw veteran players back into the game.

Ubisoft also announced Operator Mastery tiers, giving players a way to showcase their dedication and expertise with specific Operators. As the team explained, this gives your time with these characters “more meaning”.

Y11S3: New Defender “Firework” Counters Shield Meta

Season 3 introduces a brand new Defender, currently codenamed Firework.

The teaser showcased a gadget capable of punching straight through shields, signaling a direct counter to shield-heavy strategies. While Ubisoft has not yet revealed the Operator’s full identity or backstory, it is clear the goal is to rebalance engagements involving shield users.

Given the ongoing discussions around the shield meta, this Operator could significantly impact high-level ranked and competitive play.

Y11S2: Calypso Casino Map and Dokkaebi Remaster

Season 2 brings both nostalgia and modernization.

A new map called Calypso Casino will join the rotation. The location is inspired by Rainbow Six Vegas and serves as a tribute to the franchise’s earlier entries. Alex Kaparzis described it as a “tribute to the amazing Vegas games from Rainbow’s past.”

Y11S2 will also include a significant remaster for Dokkaebi. Ubisoft described the update as giving her a “more personal and targeted approach” along with a new primary weapon to expand her loadout options. The team stressed that the weapon will not be locked behind a battle pass and will be available to all players upon release.

Additionally, the in-game esports tab will receive a major overhaul, making it easier for fans to follow their favorite teams and players in the competitive scene.

Y11S1 Operation Silent Hunt: Solid Snake Joins Rainbow Six Siege

The biggest surprise of the showcase came with the announcement that Solid Snake will join Rainbow Six Siege in Year 11 Season 1.

The legendary protagonist from Metal Gear Solid enters Siege as a new Operator alongside Zero. He arrives with a standalone story designed to integrate him into the Siege universe.

Season 1 is heavily themed around Metal Gear. A new limited-time event titled [REDACTED] will introduce Metal Gear-themed skins, cosmetics in the battle pass, and a special 4v4 mode.

Solid Snake will be a one-health, three-speed Operator equipped with unique voice lines, a brand new gadget, and a distinctive loadout that reflects his stealth roots.

Operation Silent Hunt launches on March 3rd. In addition to Snake’s arrival, the season will introduce modernized maps, a new 1v1 arcade mode, and a large-scale balancing overhaul.
