Epic Games has settled with Morgan "RepulseGod" Bamford, a player who cheated in the 2023 Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) and unlawfully earned prize money. The settlement requires Bamford to return the prize money and post an apology video to the Fortnite community.

In a brief 15-second video, Bamford admitted to sharing his Epic Games account with another player, "Forbes," to qualify for the 2024 FNCS grand finals. This violation of Epic's rules led to his disqualification from the tournament.

As part of the settlement, Bamford has been banned from all future Fortnite tournaments and is required to pay a monetary settlement, including the returned prize money, which will be donated to charity.

In his apology, Bamford stated, "Cheating in tournaments ruins the fun for the players who earned their spot in tournaments, and I apologise to the Fortnite community for my actions. I won’t ever cheat in Fortnite again."

Morgan "RepulseGod" Bamford, a veteran of the Fortnite pro scene since 2019, competed in the 2023 FNCS Major 3 alongside his duo partner Jace. The duo secured a spot in the Grand Finals, which featured a $4 million prize pool, and were awarded $10,000 for their performance. However, just one day before the event was set to begin, they were disqualified due to Bamford’s violation of Epic Games’ rules.

RepulseGod had previously found success in the Oceania region, with several wins in Duo and Trio events.
