Unified CEO stated; "I want to take a moment to address the concerns voiced by many of our players and contractors regarding late payments. First, allow me to start by apologizing. I'm sorry. You deserve better, and we have always strived to be better. This past season, we failed to deliver on our promise to put you, the community, first. I want to be as transparent as possible, as this deeply impactful issue is causing heartache for not only the players and talent in our leagues, but also for the staff members who have worked tirelessly to bring some of the best North American esports experiences to players on and offline. None of what Unified has accomplished would have been possible without their passion and hard work, and it was unfair of me-as a leader-to not be more transparent with my own team as we faced increasing hardship. Ultimately the reason for late payments boils down to late or unpaid accounts receivable, alongside missing revenue goals which put us behind on our accounts payable. We are expecting to receive invoices this week that should allow us to catch up. I know you want a set date for all payments - because we have to wait for some of our accounts receivable to come in, I can't hard commit to a date. This is because I don't want to unintentionally mislead you in case there are any unexpected delays. What I can commit to is paying out as soon as possible once those payments are received. Unified is taking every action possible to right these wrongs. While payments are being resolved slowly, we are doing everything we can to resolve all outstanding payments as soon as possible. We are actively reaching out to pending recipients. Beyond righting the wrongs, I am committed to making sure these issues don't happen again. We strove to offer as many levels of competition as possible-however, to ensure we get back to delivering a professional and timely experience for EVERY league or event we launch, we will be immediately reevaluating our products and offerings. I am sorry I failed the community and I will do better, Ramsey, CEO.
