Virtuos Acquires Third Kind Games

Virtuos, a video game development company, has acquired Third Kind Games, a major independent developer based in the UK. This acquisition marks Virtuos' entry into the UK gaming market.
Founded in 2016 by former Activision veterans, Third Kind Games has established itself with a team of over 70 and contributed to notable titles including Fable, Forza Horizon 4, Hearthstone, Predecessor, and Sea of Thieves. The studio is located in Leamington Spa, a key hub in the UK's gaming industry.
The nine co-founders of Third Kind Games will continue to lead the studio post-acquisition. The company plans to double its workforce within two years to meet increasing demand.
