Virtus.pro Disbands After Missing TI for a Third Straight Year

Disbanded, as expected.

The org. announced on 24 August that it's disbanding its entire Dota 2 lineup, ending a season that produced almost nothing.

They stated "We appreciate the work the team has put in during this time, but believe that changes are necessary in the current situation. Therefore, the club has decided to part ways with the current roster," VP said, adding that results "fell short of the club's goals and expectations."

Now free agents:

The season

Virtus.pro assembled this roster in September 2025 after missing TI for a second year, bringing in Timado, Abed and Fly with BuLba coaching. SabeRLight- joined in November, reuniting with Abed, Fly and BuLba from their 2023 Shopify Rebellion days.

The best result they had was seventh-eighth at DreamLeague Season 27. They finished last at FISSURE Playground 2, also missed playoffs at ESL One Birmingham and PGL Wallachia Season 8, and failed to reach the playoff stage at the Esports World Cup.

The TI qualifiers was the final straw. VP surprisingly reached the upper bracket qualifying match and lost 1-2 to TEAM VISION, who went on to finish TI runners-up. The lower bracket decider against HULIGANI ended 1-2 as well, leaving them fifth-sixth in the European qualifier.

Staying in

VP has been in Dota 2 since 2012 and they still hold a share of the record for most Majors won, five, tied with Team Secret and OG. It has never won The International.

"Virtus.pro remain committed to Dota 2," the org said. "This title has always held a special place for our club, and we will continue working toward returning with a team capable of competing at the highest level." Details on the next roster will come separately.
