WoW The War Within Patch Roadmap Revealed
Blizzard unveiled The War Within's latest content roadmap for players. The pre patch will be released earlier than expected.
World of Warcraft: The War Within is the highly anticipated tenth expansion for the MMORPG World of Warcraft, will be first stage of the Worldsoul Saga trilogy initiated by Chris Metzen. Scheduled for release on August 22, 2024, for Windows and macOS, this expansion follows Dragonflight and introduces players to Khaz Algar, a realm divided into four distinct zones: the Isle of Dorn, The Ringing Deeps, Hallowfall, and Azj-Kahet.
In The War Within, the level cap has been increased to 80, empowering players to further enhance their characters with new abilities and talents. From level 71 onwards, each class and specialization can unlock Hero Talents, offering deeper customization and strategic options in combat.

Pre-Expansion Update
On July 23, WoW: The War Within pre-patch 11.0 arrives, bringing several new features and events:
- Warbands: Enhances account-wide progression across all characters, including those in different factions.
- Skyriding: Expands Dragonflight’s Dragonriding system to over 400 flying mounts.
- Cross-Realm Guilds: Finally allows guilds to span across realms.
- Radiant Echoes Pre-Patch Event: Players battle the spirits of Azeroth’s past enemies in Searing Gorge, Dustwallow Marsh, or Dragonblight zones.
- Early Access
- Players who pre-order the highest edition gain early access starting Aug. 22.
Global Launch
WoW: The War Within fully launches on Aug. 26, introducing:
- Khaz’Algar Continent: Includes four zones and eight dungeons.
- New Campaign Quest: Involves defending Azeroth from lurking shadows.
- Hero Talents: Further customization options post-level 70.
- Delves: Bite-sized dungeons for quick completion in 10-15 minutes.
- Playable Allied Race: The Earthen join the fray.
- New PvP Battleground: Deephaul Ravine.
- Season One
- Starting Sept. 10, WoW: The War Within begins its first Mythic+ and PvP seasons:
- New Mythic+ Season: Features four new and four returning dungeons.
- New PvP Season: Includes Rated Battleground Solo Queue.
- Nerub’ar Palace Raid: Eight-boss raid opens on Sept. 17.
- Class Tier Sets: Obtainable from Nerub’ar Palace raid and Great Vault.
The War Within Dungeons
WoW: The War Within introduces a total of eight dungeons: four leveling dungeons and four max-level dungeons. For season one of Mythic+, however, only four of these dungeons will be included in the rotation, with the other four being dungeons from previous expansions in the World of Warcraft series.
