|content=The Halo Championship Series (HCS) has confirmed it will retire Halo Infinite from official competitive play at the end of the 2025 season, marking the end of a multi-year esports run for the franchise’s free-to-play arena shooter.

The announcement, made on Monday, signals a significant transition for the competitive Halo community. The 2025 Halo World Championship will serve as the final HCS-sanctioned event featuring Halo Infinite, concluding an era that began with the title’s launch in 2021. While official circuit support will cease, 343 Industries has stated it will continue to back the game's tournament scene in 2026 through community-driven efforts and smaller-scale events.
