The film grossed $157 million domestically and $144 million overseas, bringing its global total to $301 million in its first few days of release.

The film’s opening surpassed expectations by tens of millions, setting a new record for the biggest debut ever for a video game adaptation. This impressive performance outpaced the $146.4 million three-day opening of Universal Pictures’ The Super Mario Bros. Movie over the Easter weekend in 2023.
