Dignitas
Dignitas, a prominent esports organization headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, began its journey in 2003 when two Battlefield 1942 teams merged under the leadership of founder Michael "ODEE" O'Dell. Over the years, the organization expanded its presence across various competitive titles, gaining recognition particularly in League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
In 2016, Dignitas entered a new chapter after being acquired by the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. This acquisition placed the team under the umbrella of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE), a move that provided significant resources and visibility to the brand.
The organization has undergone notable branding changes throughout its history. In October 2018, Dignitas dropped the word "Team" from its name and introduced a sleek owl-themed logo, signaling a fresh visual identity. However, in January 2021, they revived and modernized their original "alien" logo, reintroducing it as a mascot named Digi, blending nostalgia with a contemporary twist.
