100 Thieves has announced the appointment of Counter-Strike legend Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander as the head coach of its Counter-Strike 2 roster, marking a significant step in the organisation’s return to Valve’s iconic first-person shooter.
The announcement was made on December 19th, 2025, following gla1ve’s recent exit from Scandinavian esports organisation ENCE and the conclusion of his professional playing career. The role represents the first coaching position for gla1ve after an illustrious 15-year career as a professional player.
100 Thieves revealed its Counter-Strike operations earlier this year on November 11th, signalling a long-term commitment to re-entering the Counter-Strike ecosystem. With the addition of gla1ve, the organisation continues to build the foundation of its new roster ahead of competition in 2026.
Widely regarded as one of the most successful in-game leaders in Counter-Strike history, gla1ve achieved four Major championship victories with Astralis. Under his leadership, the Danish organisation dominated Counter-Strike: Global Offensive between 2016 and 2020, setting a benchmark for tactical excellence in the esport.
As part of the evolving lineup, gla1ve will work alongside Håvard ‘rain’ Nygaard, who is set to serve as the team’s in-game leader. The roster is taking shape following the conclusion of the StarLadder Budapest Major, as 100 Thieves continues to finalise its competitive structure.
In addition to gla1ve’s appointment, 100 Thieves has strengthened its leadership team by naming Graham ‘messioso’ Pitt as Head of Counter-Strike operations and Sean ‘sgares’ Gares as Head of FPS. The additions highlight the organisation’s broader strategy to support its competitive ambitions with experienced leadership across multiple roles.
