Dignitas Partners with Theta Labs
Dignitas has announced a new collaboration with Theta Labs to bring its mascot, ‘Digi,’ to life as an AI agent for its grassroots Fortnite tournament server, DIGFort. The AI-powered assistant, launching today, will serve as an always-on resource for the DIG community, offering real-time tournament information, player statistics, and team updates across all of Dignitas’ competitive titles.
Digi will be trained to efficiently handle fan queries, ensuring smoother communication during the DIGFort tournaments, which host over 70,000 members. Fans will be able to access key details such as match schedules, player performance, and team standings through the AI agent, enhancing the overall tournament experience.
“This partnership with Theta Labs is all about improving fan engagement and streamlining operations during our tournaments,” said Dignitas in a statement. “Digi will be a valuable tool for the community, providing instant information and real-time interaction during events.”
Expanding AI’s Role in Esports
This is not Theta Labs' first venture into esports. The company has previously worked with other major organizations such as Cloud9, NRG Esports, FlyQuest, and Evil Geniuses. The partnership with Dignitas further solidifies Theta’s role in the growing trend of AI and decentralized cloud technology in esports.
