Blizzard Entertainment has officially teased a new collaboration that has fans buzzing — Overwatch 2 is teaming up with Persona, with the popular Persona 5 protagonist Joker making an appearance in the Season 18 trailer. The crossover marks another exciting addition to Overwatch 2’s growing list of pop culture collaborations.
Persona 5’s Joker Appears in Overwatch 2 Season 18 Teaser
The reveal came on August 21st, at the end of the Overwatch 2 Season 18: Stadium Quick Play trailer. In the final moments of the video, a mysterious silhouette strikes a dramatic pose against a red star-patterned background — a clear visual nod to Persona 5's signature style. The teaser continues with a closer look, showing the figure adjusting red gloves and donning a distinct white mask.
Fans quickly recognized the figure as Ren Amamiya, better known as Joker, the masked leader of the Phantom Thieves from Persona 5.
While Blizzard has yet to confirm specific details — including which Overwatch 2 hero will receive the Joker skin — the teaser strongly hints at a full-fledged Persona collaboration coming in Season 18.

Many fans are already speculating on which character will receive the Joker skin — with guesses ranging from Cassidy to Genji, due to their agility and weapon styles matching Joker’s persona.
