Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is a major Japanese video game publisher and a key division of Bandai Namco Holdings. Established in 2006 under the name Namco Bandai Games Inc., the company was formed by merging the video game operations of Namco and Bandai. It carries forward both companies' legacies in home console and arcade gaming. In 2012, its game development activities were separated into a dedicated subsidiary now known as Bandai Namco Studios.

The company is known for producing and managing a number of globally successful game franchises. These include iconic titles such as Pac-Man, Tekken, Soulcalibur, Tales, Ace Combat, Taiko no Tatsujin, The Idolmaster, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, and Ridge Racer. Among these, Pac-Man remains a symbol of the company, serving as its official mascot.

Beyond its original IPs, Bandai Namco Entertainment also holds licensing rights for several well-known Japanese media properties. These include popular series such as Gundam, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Sword Art Online, the Ultra Series, and works from Shonen Jump, enabling the company to develop games based on some of Japan’s most beloved franchises.
