Microsoft's Phil Spencer has revealed plans to include all games from Activision Blizzard, Zenimax , and Xbox Game Studios in the Game Pass subscription service on their launch day. This means that titles from these studios will be immediately available to Game Pass subscribers upon their general release. Spencer emphasized Microsoft's commitment to offering the entire game portfolios from these companies on Game Pass from day one. While Blizzard's Diablo 4 has already been confirmed for Game Pass, Microsoft aims to incorporate the back catalog of Call of Duty games into the library as well. This move suggests a significant shift, as historically, Activision has been resistant to the idea of launching new Call of Duty titles directly into subscription services like Game Pass.
The upcoming Call of Duty installment for this year is anticipated to be another entry in the Black Ops series, set against the backdrop of the Gulf War. Developed primarily by Treyarch, Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War is said to explore the global political ramifications following the end of the Cold War.
