PGL has announced the acquisition of specific assets from Esportal, an online matchmaking platform, aiming to enhance its global matchmaking service. The acquisition does not include Esportal AB itself but focuses on assets that align with PGL's vision for the future of esports matchmaking.
PGL, known for its tournament organization, plans to preserve and improve the Esportal assets to benefit players worldwide. The company is currently evaluating Esportal's operations to identify areas for improvement and prepare for a reorganization.
This process, expected to take 3-4 months, will involve migration, reorganization, and possible rebranding of the platform to optimize technology and user experience.
