Berlin International Gaming (BIG), has partnered with L’Oréal Men Expert and Movember to launch the #GROWBIG campaign, aimed at raising awareness for men's health issues. The initiative will focus on promoting mental health and preventing prostate and testicular cancer, targeting the predominantly young male audience.
Statistics underscore the urgency of this campaign: prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men in Germany, with one in six affected, and it has the highest mortality rate in Europe. Testicular cancer is the most frequently diagnosed cancer in men aged 20 to 39, with over 4,500 cases reported in 2020 alone. Additionally, men account for about 75% of all suicide cases in the country.

Starting November 1, the campaign will feature social media activities on BIG's channels, including awareness posts and videos. The initiative will culminate in a donation stream on November 30, 2024, where BIG influencers and esports professionals will compete in various games. Viewers will gain insights into the personal challenges faced by athletes, emphasizing mental health issues in the competitive gaming environment.
Daniel Finkler, CEO of BIG, stated, “The joint partnership with L’Oréal Men Expert and Movember is a special highlight for BIG at the end of the year... We want to reach all of these people during our #GROWBIG campaign... and educate them about the topic. We are proud to be part of this important mission.”
