After their debut Dota 2 event in November 2024, BLAST is back with another LAN event hosted at the organization’s Copenhagen-based studio. BLAST Slam II is offering a $1M prize pool, just like its predecessor, with 10 of the top teams battling it out in single-elimination bracket matches throughout the week.

Interestingly, Dota 2 is still on Patch 7.37e—the same patch that was used for Slam I—despite over two months passing. However, as we saw during Fissure Playground #1 last week, the meta has been evolving even without Valve's intervention. It will be intriguing to see if a new gameplay patch arrives, especially with Crownfall Act IV ending on February 6, right in the middle of BLAST Slam II.

Here are the 10 teams directly invited to Dota 2 BLAST Slam II, as there were no qualifiers:

  • PARIVISION
  • BetBoom Team
  • Team Falcons
  • Team Liquid
  • Tundra Esports
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • Nigma Galaxy
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Yakult Brothers
  • Talon Esports

BLAST Slam II will follow a single-elimination best-of-three series format for the playoffs. Each day leading up to the grand final on February 9 will feature two best-of-three series, with the losers being immediately eliminated from the tournament.

All times are in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).
