Electronic Arts has officially announced an open beta for Battlefield 6, giving players worldwide the opportunity to experience the highly anticipated shooter ahead of launch. The upcoming playtest spans two weekends in August, offering early hands-on access and a slate of exclusive in-game rewards.
The announcement came during the Battlefield 6 Multiplayer Reveal Event, where hundreds of content creators streamed live gameplay, highlighting new maps, game modes, classes, and weapons. Viewers were also treated to Twitch Drops for tuning in—further fueling anticipation for what is shaping up to be one of Electronic Arts’ most anticipated titles in years.

Open Beta Schedule: When You Can Play
The Battlefield 6 open beta will be available on Xbox Series XS, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and the EA App.
Here’s the breakdown of both play periods:
Weekend 1: 🕗 Starts: August 9 at 8 AM UTC 🕗 Ends: August 11 at 8 AM UTC
Weekend 2: 🕗 Starts: August 14 at 8 AM UTC 🕗 Ends: August 17 at 8 AM UTC
Preloading will be available starting August 4 at 3 PM UTC, allowing players to prepare ahead of time for immediate access when the beta launches.
Exclusive Rewards for Participating Players Those who join the open beta will earn time-limited cosmetic items and gear, with rewards varying across the two weekends. EA hasn’t confirmed whether these items will return post-beta, so players eager to collect everything should mark their calendars.
