ESL FACEIT Group has announced that the Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) will make its way to Atlanta, Georgia in 2026, marking a major shift for North America’s premier Counter-Strike 2 tournament. The event is set to take place May 15–17, 2026, at the Georgia World Congress Center, running alongside the DreamHack Atlanta gaming festival.
The move to Atlanta ends IEM’s long-standing tradition in Dallas, which has hosted the North American leg in recent years. IEM Atlanta 2026 will gather 16 of the world’s best Counter-Strike 2 teams, determined by the Valve Regional Standings as of February 2026, all competing for a $1 million prize pool.
Tournament Format
The competition will unfold across two distinct stages.
Stage 1 will feature a double-elimination bracket with best-of-three (Bo3) matches.
The top six teams from this stage will advance to the Playoffs, where a single-elimination bracket will determine the finalists.
The tournament will conclude with a best-of-five (Bo5) Grand Final, promising a climactic finish to the weekend.
Tickets for IEM Atlanta 2026 are now available through DreamHack’s official website, with multiple tiers offering varying levels of access and perks. The IEM Premium three-day ticket currently stands as the highest tier, providing guaranteed seating near the stage, an IEM+ upgrade goodie bag, and full access to all DreamHack Atlanta attractions.
ESL FACEIT Group announced that individual day passes for DreamHack will go on sale starting Monday, January 19th, 2026, at 4:00 PM EST.
