The French antitrust regulator Autorité de la Concurrence has imposed a €13.5 million fine on Sony, alleging that the company abused its dominant market position by limiting third-party PlayStation 4 controllers. The regulator's investigation, prompted by a complaint from controller manufacturer Subsonic, revealed that Sony implemented anti-counterfeiting measures in November 2015, leading to frequent disconnection issues for third-party controllers during system updates.
